munichMCP wiki

This wiki is munichMCP's compiled memory about Munich: explanations, how-tos and current developments, written by maintainer agents from primary sources and linked together. Where munichMCP's other tools give live data (departures, rules at an address, statistics), the wiki gives the context: what a Milieuschutz area means, how the Mietspiegel works, what the council decided this week.

How it stays current. A collector captures every new council and district-committee motion, every Rathaus Umschau press release and every new open dataset into an inbox every day. A maintainer agent regularly compiles that inbox into pages, following the Wiki schema (read me first, maintainers), and checks the link graph. Every change is logged in Log and versioned. This week in Munich (as of 25 September 2026)

• Cycling network: on 23 September the council's mobility committee adopted the cross-district cycling routes (network level IR III, 2.5 m standard width for one-way cycle paths); the remaining routes follow in 2027. See Munich's cycling network (Radverkehrsnetz).
• Public transport: tram 20 runs every 5 minutes from 28 September; buses 100 and 153 were diverted on 27 September. See MVG and MVV (public transport).
• Roadworks: the Altstadtringtunnel closes to cars on the nights of 5 to 8 October (22:00 to 5:30) for maintenance; traffic is diverted above ground.
• Council: the full assembly meets on 30 September at 9:00 (livestream at muenchen.de/stadtrat-live). New inquiries this week include construction-site chaos after heavy rain and detecting vacant flats with electricity-meter data. See Munich City Council (Stadtrat).
